You have to get line number 8 to Nuevos Ministerios. Once there, we have to take the train in line number 10 to Alonso Martínez and, finally, take line number 5 in direction to Casa de Campo, and stop in the Gran Via station. Once in Gran Via, you have to take the exit to Hortaleza st. or Montera st.

This is also a common way to get to the centre of Madrid from the airport. It consists in a bus which goes from Barajas to Colon square, the problem is that this square is a bit far from the hostal. It is recommendable to get the Metro, a taxi or another bus of the EMT (Local transport company, all the public buses in Madrid)

The main problem of a taxi is its cost. The price just for hiring it is of 1.35 Euros. Approximately, the cost of the trip from the airport to our hostal is of 20-25 Euros depending on the traffic. It is a very short trip, you just have to take line number 1 in direction to Plaza de Castilla, and only 5 stations after Atocha is ours, Gran Via.

We can take line number 34 in Paseo del Prado in direction to Cibeles, once in this square we can take bus line number 146 and get off in the stop Gran Vía- Clavel. Our street can be found crossing Gran Vía st.

Just take lune number 1 directly to Gran Via. You can also take line number 10 to Alonso Martinez and then line number 5 to Gran Via, you have to change lines but it might be a bit faster.

The line number 5 of the EMT goes from this station of Chamartín and has a stop very near to the hostal, exactly in the cross between Alcalá and Gran Via streets. From this point, you can walk during 5 minutes to get to our hostal.

The nearest Metro stop is Méndez Álvaro, so you just have to take line number 6 (grey) to Pacífico and then line number 1 (light blue) in direction to Plaza de Castilla. The 7th stop is Gran Vía, where our hostal is located.
