Estadio Vicente Calderón

The Vicente Calderón Stadium, where Atlético de Madrid plays its matches, is located less than 20 minutes by Metro from hostel Aliste. Inaugurated in 1966, it has seen many nights of glory of its local team, though the football club has planned to move to a newer, bigger stadium which is being constructed in the Olimpic Stadium of Madrid (also knows as La Peineta) in 2013.

The Stadium is located near the Manzanares river and its nearest Metro stop is Pirámides. To get there from Hostel Aliste, you just have to take líne number 5 in Gran Vía (in the corner of our street) directly to Pirámides Metro stop. It's just 5 stops in total.
