Santiago Bernabéu Stadium

The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, where Real Madrid and sometimes the Spanish National Team plays their matches as local in Madrid is one of the historical stadiums of the football/soccer world, a place where many main events of this sport have taken place. It is also one of the most modern stadiums, having received five stars, the maximum rate that UEFA (the European Football Federation) gives to all stadiums. Furthermore, Real Madrid has planned several works on the stadium, including the installation of a roof.

This stadium is located in Paseo de la Castellana, in the main business zone of Madrid, so it is very near to some skyscrappers like the complex of Azca just in front of the stadium or 200m far from the Kio Towers and the 4 brand new skyscrappers built in the old training fields that Real Madrid used to have in Plaza Castilla.

Its metro station has its name, Santiago Bernabéu, and is located less than 20 minutes from hostel Aliste. To get here from our hostel, you just have to take line number 5 in Gran Vía (in the corner of our street) until Alonso Martínez, then take line numer 10 and step off 3 stops later. In total, it takes only 5 stops to get there.
